Dr. Pető T. Tamás LL.M.

I obtained my law degree in 2021 at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of Pázmány Péter Catholic University. During my university years I worked as an intern at several law firms, so by the time I graduated I had both practical and theoretical experience in a number of areas of law.

After graduating I joined Baltás Ügyvédi Iroda as a trainee lawyer, where I worked on debt recovery and real estate law among other matters. I then made a brief excursion into public administration, working at the Ministry of Agriculture as a legal remedies officer, after which I joined Herbály Ügyvédi Iroda, again as a trainee lawyer, handling employment law, debt recovery and carriage (transport) law among other matters.

I obtained my postgraduate specialist degree in enforcement law (LL.M.) in January 2025, and passed the Hungarian bar exam in the summer of 2026.

In my practice I provide legal services to both private individuals and companies, offering high-quality, purposeful solutions that keep my Clients’ interests and instructions in focus. As no two matters and no two Clients are alike, I work in close cooperation with my Clients so that they receive a satisfactory answer and a workable solution to each legal question, and so that I can provide them with legal representation of the highest possible standard.

As an attorney registered in Hungary, I take on matters in Hungarian as a rule. With international clients – for example a foreign company setting up a business in Hungary, or needing any other Hungarian legal service – I am happy to communicate in English; the language of the proceedings remains Hungarian.

If you need legal assistance, you can reach me by phone, by e-mail, or by sending a message directly through this website. When getting in touch, please indicate the area of law concerned, the legal problem itself, and what specifically you would like my help with.
You will receive a response to every enquiry: I undertake to contact you within 48 hours of your enquiry reaching me.
Personal consultation
We will then arrange a personal consultation at a time that suits you. Consultations take place at my branch office at 1239 Budapest, Nagykőrösi út 351., where you can park free of charge in the office building’s own guarded car park.
The purpose of the first consultation is for me to understand the circumstances of your matter in detail and, on that basis, to review the available legal options together with you. I will inform you about the procedures available, their expected course, and the advantages, risks and possible drawbacks of each option.
Engagement
If after the consultation you decide to work with me on resolving your legal problem, I will prepare the power of attorney required for representation and the engagement agreement, and send them to you for review and signature.
The engagement agreement sets out clearly and specifically the tasks to be performed, the scope of the engagement, the legal work to be carried out and the agreed attorney’s fee.
Representation
Once the engagement is in place, I handle all the legal representation and assistance the matter requires. Throughout, I keep in regular contact with you, inform you as milestones are reached and statements are made, and send you drafts of submissions electronically for your approval in advance.
